Town Hall

20060202 / Eichgraben, Lower Austria / Reinberg

The designed town office building is located in a small village Eichgraben near Vienna. The focus of the clearly defined object is inside it and its shape eliminates any negative influences coming from the neighbouring area and – thanks to its transparency – does not prevent from perceieving its surroundings. Thanks to clear configuration and horizontality the new building is a distinct urban landmark. The sliding roof of the amphiteatre in its centre allows all year-round use of the room.
